AI Disclaimer
Artificial intelligence does real work inside WorkScudo. It also has real limits. This page sets out both, plainly, so you know how much weight to put on what the platform tells you.

1.Where AI is used
Document reading: extracting employer names, employment type, pay rates, classifications, hours, amounts, dates and superannuation detail from contracts, payslips, rosters and contribution statements.
Explanation: describing in plain English what an identified issue means, which rule it relates to and what the usual next steps are.
Drafting: preparing messages to an employer, summaries and report narratives for you to review, edit and send.
Assistance: answering questions about the screen you are on, using the same checks that produce the screens.
Translation: presenting the interface and explanations in supported languages.
2.Where AI is not used
Core reconciliation arithmetic, including award rate comparisons, penalty rate application, overtime calculation and superannuation due-date computation, is performed by deterministic rule-based logic rather than by a generative model. The same inputs always produce the same outputs, and the working can be displayed.
AI does not make decisions about your matter. It does not decide whether to disclose your identity, whether to refer a matter, or whether a claim should be pursued. Those actions require your instruction.
AI does not determine legal entitlement, liability or the outcome of any claim.
3.Known limitations
Document quality: a blurred photograph, an unusual payroll template or a scanned contract may be read incorrectly. Always check the details the platform has extracted, particularly your classification and pay rate.
Classification judgement: the correct classification under a modern award often depends on duties actually performed rather than on a job title in a contract. This is a frequent source of error and is a matter for human judgement.
Incomplete inputs: the platform can only reconcile what it has been given. A missing payslip or an unuploaded contribution statement can produce an apparent gap that does not exist, or hide one that does.
Changing rules: award rates, the superannuation guarantee rate and payment deadlines change. We update our rule set, but there can be a lag around the date of a change.
Generative variability: explanations and drafted text are generated and may occasionally be imprecise or incomplete even when the underlying calculation is correct.
4.Not legal or financial advice
Nothing produced by WorkScudo, whether generated by AI or by rule-based logic, constitutes legal, financial, taxation or migration advice.
WorkScudo is not a law firm, does not act for you and does not form a solicitor-client relationship. No duty of care arises in respect of a decision you take on the basis of platform output.
Where a question requires professional judgement, the assistant will say so and point you to an appropriate professional rather than attempt an answer.
5.Your obligation to verify
AI-generated results should be independently verified before you rely on them. In practice that means checking extracted figures against the source document, checking super against your fund or myGov, and obtaining professional advice before commencing proceedings, making a regulatory disclosure or remediating a shortfall.
Estimated amounts owed are indicative only and are not a determination of your legal entitlement.
6.Data and model use
Your documents and personal information are not used to train third-party foundation models.
AI processing may be performed by contracted service providers bound to confidentiality and permitted to use your content only to deliver the feature to you. Sub-processors and their locations are disclosed on request, and overseas processing is addressed in the Privacy Policy.
We may use aggregated, de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you to improve accuracy.
7.Reporting an error
If the platform reads a document incorrectly or produces an explanation you believe is wrong, report it from within the app or email hello@workscudo.com. Corrections improve the rule set for everyone, and we would rather hear it than not.
