A regulatory shift, a verified problem and a record nobody owns.
Payday Super converted a quarterly superannuation obligation into a per-payday one. That single change turns a dormant reconciliation problem into a recurring, dated, measurable event across every employer in the country, and creates the opening for an independent record layer.

The thesis in short
Australian wage and superannuation compliance has historically failed at the information layer rather than the enforcement layer. The rules are published, the penalties are real and the regulators are active. What is missing is a continuously maintained, independently verifiable record of what was owed and what was paid, held in a place all parties can see.
Payday Super makes the absence of that record expensive. Obligations now fall due every payday, deadlines are counted in business days, and failures are individually dated. That is precisely the shape of problem software solves well and spreadsheets solve badly.
WorkScudo monetises the employer and professional sides, where compliance exposure and intake cost create clear willingness to pay, while keeping the worker side free. The worker side is what produces the record, and the record is the defensible asset.
Why the structure works
Multi-sided, single record
Workers, employers, legal professionals and the operating team all transact against one reconciled record, so each additional participant increases the value of the others' view.
Regulatory tailwind, not regulatory dependence
Payday Super and heightened wage compliance enforcement sharpen urgency, but the underlying reconciliation need predates them and survives any individual rule change.
Evidence as the moat
Longitudinal, dated, source-tagged employment evidence compounds. A record started today is materially more valuable in two years, and is not reconstructable retrospectively.
Low-friction worker acquisition
The entry action is a question people already ask, phrased as they ask it: has my super been paid, and am I on the right rate.
Clear commercial lanes
Employer subscriptions priced on headcount and payroll complexity, professional panel subscriptions for firms and advocates, and enterprise reporting.
Exportable model
Award-style instruments, mandated superannuation equivalents and payslip regulation exist in comparable jurisdictions. Australia is the hardest version of the problem and a credible proving ground.
How we think about risk
We are explicit with investors about the three risks that matter. First, award interpretation is genuinely complex and being wrong is costly to trust, which is why every figure is traceable to the provision applied and why the platform refuses to give legal advice. Second, employer adoption requires a credible independence story, which is why we take no commission on recoveries and do not sell worker data. Third, trust is the entire asset, so security and privacy are treated as product rather than overhead.
We would rather show a conservative number with the working attached than an impressive one that cannot be defended. That principle shapes the product, and it shapes our reporting to investors.
