1.What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and pixels. They allow a site to recognise your device, keep you signed in and understand how the site is used.
A first-party cookie is set by WorkScudo. A third-party cookie is set by another organisation whose service we use.
2.Categories we use
Strictly necessary: authentication, session management, load balancing, security and fraud prevention, and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off without breaking the service, and they do not require consent.
Preference: remembering your language selection, interface settings and dismissed notices.
Analytics: understanding which pages and features are used, in aggregate, so we can improve them. These are used only with your consent.
Marketing: measuring the effectiveness of campaigns that bring people to the site. These are used only with your consent, and we do not use them to build advertising profiles of worker account holders.
3.Typical lifespans
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period, generally up to 12 months for preference cookies and up to 24 months for analytics cookies, unless you delete them earlier.
Authentication tokens expire on a short cycle and are refreshed while you remain active.
4.Inside the secure portal
Within portal.workscudo.com, only strictly necessary and preference technologies are used. We do not run marketing tracking inside the signed-in environment where your employment records are visible.
5.Managing cookies
You can change your choices at any time through the cookie settings link in the website footer.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and using the platform.
Browser-level signals such as Global Privacy Control are respected where your browser sends them.
6.Third parties
Where third-party services set cookies, they are engaged under contract and are permitted to use the resulting information only to provide their service to us. A current list of such providers is available from hello@workscudo.com.
We do not sell information collected through cookies.
7.Changes and contact
We will update this policy if the technologies we use change, and the effective date above will be updated. Questions can be sent to hello@workscudo.com.
